A Clear Mission in Team Building and Training
Tango Training was formed in 2006 with a clear mission: to approach learning and development from a team building perspective. To us, team building is not about ropes courses or drinking beer together. It’s about creating organizational clarity and alignment, developing the right mix of skills, leveraging strengths, and diagnosing weaknesses that may be holding a group back from becoming a high performance team.
Anna DeBattiste is a trainer, facilitator, program developer and writer with 20 years of experience in team building, leadership and human resources. Prior to becoming a consultant, she spent ten years as an in-house human resources generalist in the hospitality, finance and consumer goods industries. She left the corporate world in 2001 to become an independent contractor and freelance writer, and since then has served clients such as Nike, Metlife, Rockwell Collins, the Social Security Administration, the US Forest Service, Department of Reclamation, the U.S. Mint, the Department of Education, GSA, BLM, the EPA, the National Weather Service, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and various US military bases.
With a Masters Degree in English from the University of Vermont and extensive experience taking on the writing projects no one else wanted, Anna has also specialized in freelance writing projects for training and HR departments, including employee handbooks, training programs, policies and procedures, and employee newsletters.
She is best known for her passion for adventure, and for drawing lessons in leadership and teamwork from her experiences as a world traveler, adventure racer, ski instructor and mountain rescuer. Anna is based in northern New England, where she also manages New England Crane School, a local business specializing in training and certification programs for crane operators, signal persons and riggers
